The Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rais Gumerov, met with a delegation from the Kurgan Region, led by the Head of the forestry department, Viktor Bannikov. The event was also attended by employees of the Kurgan region and employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the meeting, Rais Gumerov spoke about the peculiarities of forest management in Tatarstan, the current state and prospects for development of the forestry industry in the republic. During the working visit, the delegation members discuss with representatives of Tatarstan cooperation in the field of forestry. Also, a delegation of foresters visited today the Forest Museum of the Ministry, where they were told about the history of forest industry formation.
This year mass planting of trees takes place under the auspices of the Year of Volunteer in Russia. Today, residents of the republic took part in landscaping the territory of Tatarstan - planted 1.3 million new trees. Planting material, equipment and clothing were allocated by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. 20 thousand people took part in the environmental campaign, including representatives of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, prosecutors of the Republic of Tatarstan, all ministries, departments, teachers, students of educational institutions, volunteers and school forest districts, residents.
Volunteers greened the territory on the area of more than 300 hectares. The central action took place at two sites of the Prigorodnyi forest district. 400 pieces of European spruce, small-leaved linden and mountain ash were planted in Kazan, in Vakhitovskiy Park, located between Lakes Nizhniy and Sredniy Kaban. Volunteers planted 40 thousand coniferous trees in Staroye Shigaleevo village of Pestrechinskiy district.
Also, a mass planting took place in all the forest areas of Tatarstan; the campaign in Naberezhnye Chelny, Elabuga, Bugulma, Buinsk, Bilyarsk, Mamadysh and Tetyushi attracted the greatest number of people.
It should be noted that in the framework of the spring campaign “Day of Forest Planting”, which was held with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan - Rustam Minnikhanov, more than 2.5 million new trees were planted in over 600 hectares, 30 thousand inhabitants took part. Following the two spring and autumn campaigns, 3.8 million new trees were planted in the republic on the area of 900 hectares. Foresters and residents of the republic made such a huge contribution to the increase of forests of Tatarstan. The purpose of the campaign is to foster careful attitude to the forest, drawing attention to the issues of conservation, reproduction and augmentation of forest resources.
Today European spruce, small-leaved linden and mountain ash were planted in the amount of 400 pieces in Kazan Park “Vakhitovsky”, located between Lakes Nizhniy Kaban and Sredniy Kaban as part of the environmental campaign "United Day of Forest Planting". The campaign was supported by civil servants and employees of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. The campaign is held within the framework of the Year of Volunteer in the Russian Federation, as well as in order to foster a careful attitude to the forest, to draw attention to the issues of conservation, reproduction and augmentation of forest resources.
Environmental campaign “United Day of Forest Planting” took place in the Elabuga kindergarten “Lastochka”. The foresters together with the children planted three blue spruce trees on the territory of kindergarten. According to teachers, such campaigns teach the younger generation respect for nature. A child participating in the campaign learns to appreciate, respect and love the forest. Also today, the staff of Elabuzhskiy forest district carried out tree planting with pupils of secondary schools No. 5 and No. 10 in Elabuga. During the campaign, 65 blue spruce trees, 50 mountain ash trees and 10 mountain pine trees were planted. Together with foresters, children not only improved and greened the school grounds, but also learned a lot of interesting information about the forest and nature.
