International Project "Ecological Culture. Peace and Conciliation" was established and implemented in 2012 by the Non-Governmental Environmental Fund named after V.I. Vernadsky, Interregional public organization "GREENLIGHT", Interregional ecological public organization "GREENLIFE".
The purpose of the International Project is to identify and popularize the implemented projects aimed at developing environmental thinking and outlook among different target groups, information work on environmental issues, ensuring environmental safety and developing ecological culture.
The results of the International Project "Ecological Culture. Peace and Conciliation", which was attended by representatives from Russia and CIS countries, were summed up by the Day of the Ecologist. In 2018, 506 research projects were submitted for the competition.
Director of the State Budgetary Institution "Forest Fire Center" of the Republic of Tatarstan, Airat Akhmerov, took part at the awards ceremony, which took place in Moscow in the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation. His project "Forest Watch" on preservation and promotion of careful attitude toward the forest resources of the Republic of Tatarstan", was highly appreciated by the jury members and became a prize-winner of this contest.
