The Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District discussed the results of forest protection and reforestation in the regions

Today, a videoconference meeting on implementation of work to protect forests and reforestation in the regions, as well as plans for the fall forest season 2019 was held in the Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Head of Department Sergei Kovalev.

The event was attended by representatives of forestry authorities of the Volga Federal District, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, Director of the Federal Forestry Agency “Roslesozashita” Branch - “Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan” Nadezhda Kuzyakina, Head of the Forest Conservation and Protection Sector of the Ministry Alsu Mustafina and Leading Consultant for Forest Reproduction and Afforestation Alsu Antonova .

During the meeting, the issues of conducting forest pathological examinations of forest stands, drawing up acts of forest health, implementation of sanitary and recreational activities and reforestation and afforestation in the regions of the Volga Federal District were considered. Also, Sergey Kovalev informed the meeting about the implementation of Federal Law No. 135-FZ dated 06.06.2019 “On Amendments to the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses”. Let us recall that the law provides for the imposition of an administrative fine in the amount of 5 to 20 thousand rubles for officials for concealing information about the sanitary and forest-pathological condition of forests or inclusion of false information in the act of forest pathology examination. A similar fine is provided in case of non-referral of the approved FPE act to the authorized federal executive body within the period established by law.

If these offenses are committed in relation to protective forests, especially protective forest plots, as well as forests located in forest park green belts, the fine will be from 20 to 40 thousand rubles.

At the end of the meeting, Sergey Kovalev dwelled on the issues of the All-Russian campaign “Live, forest!”
