Pupils of school forest district “Nurgali onyklary” will take part in the All-Russian Meeting of School Forest Districts

From September 9 to September 12, 2019, the All-Russian Meeting of School Forest Districts will be held on the basis of the Desnyanka children's recreation complex in the Bryansk region. The event is organized by the Federal Forestry Agency with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Bryansk Region. The meeting will gather students of grades 8-11 — the best representatives of school forest districts from all over the country — winners of regional and national competitions in the field of forestry and environmental protection. The Republic of Tatarstan will be represented at the congress by pupils of the school forestry “Nurgali onyklary” of Leskhoz Secondary School of Sabinskiy municipal district.

As part of the meeting, it is planned to consider the results of the activities of school forest districts in the Russian Federation in 2019 in plenary session. For leaders of school forest districts - teachers and forestry specialists, a round table will be held on topical issues of the vocational guidance of students in school forestry in the current development of the forestry industry.

The best representatives of school forest districts from 60 regions will take part in the team competitions “Forest Keepers”, ‘Young Foresters”, “Young Biologists”, “Forest Multidiscipline Competition” and others. The children will not only have to demonstrate knowledge on reforestation, forest management, forestry, conservation and protection of forests, but also show practical mastery of techniques of working with tools and equipment.

It is worth noting that this year the All-Russian Meeting of School Forest Districts will be dedicated to the 70th anniversary of founding of the first school forestry in the country, created on the basis of Zhukovsky Secondary School No.1 named after B.V.Belyavskiy of Bryansk region.
