In order to optimize the procedure for calculating the damage caused to forests and natural objects located in them as a result of violation of forest legislation, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia has developed proposals to amend the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1730 of December 29, 2018.
The proposed changes are designed to ensure the necessary efficiency in carrying out investigative actions to calculate the damage caused to forests and natural objects located in them. The developed document also proposes, when calculating the cost of wood, not to divide it into business and wood. In this case, the fee rate set for medium-sized commercial timber should be applied.
The draft resolution is consistent with the provisions of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as the provisions of other international treaties of the Russian Federation. The adoption and implementation of the draft resolution will not entail additional costs from the federal budget. The proposed solutions will not affect the achievement of the goals of the state programs of the Russian Federation.
For public discussion and independent anti-corruption expertise, the draft Government Decree “On Amending the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1730 dated December 29, 2018” is posted on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts www.regulation.gov.ru.
