Sanitary and recreational activities were carried out in forests on the area of more than 3.7 thousand hectares in Tatarstan

In the Republic of Tatarstan, work is continuing to improve the sanitary condition of forest stands. According to specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of October 17 this year, sanitary and health measures were carried out on the area of ​​more than 3.7 thousand hectares. High rates of work are demonstrated by the staff of the Training and Experimental Sabinskiy, Aznakayevskiy and Mamadyshskiy forestry enterprises of the republic.

In total, this year in Tatarstan sanitary and recreational activities will be carried out on the area of ​​over 6.4 thousand hectares. Illiquid wood will be harvested on the area of ​​more than 4 thousand ha.

Sanitary measures are part of a set of forest protection measures. They are carried out in order to preserve the biological stability of the stands, prevent the widespread development of pathological processes in the forest, and reduce damage from pests and diseases.
