Today, the Cooperation Agreement in the field of forest relations was signed by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Almas Nazirov and the Chairman of the State Committee on Forestry of the Republic of Tyva A.T. Baraan.

The Agreement provides for a series of joint activities aimed at providing methodical, organizational and counselling assistance in implementation of the state forest supervision, forest protection from fires, forest utilization arrangement.

During the official part of the event, the Tuvan colleagues thanked Tatarstan foresters for their hospitality and the exchange of experience, and expressed their interest in a long-term cooperation.

In the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan a meeting of the Committee for Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Agroindustrial and Food Policy “On the planned activities in connection with the Year of Ecology declared in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2017” was held. The deputies of the State Council, representatives of ministries and departments, and the mass media took part in the event.

During the joint meeting, several issues, including those concerning the Ministry of Forestry, have been considered. As part of the Year of Ecology, the foresters will conduct reforestation activities on the territory of 2.5 thousand hectares, and the establishment of forest plantations on the whole territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The experts of the state regional multipurpose nature sanctuary “Spassky” together with the mentors of the daycare center “Kolosok” of the Spassky Municipal District of Tatarstan Vera Osintseva and Yulia Yakhina, as part of the Year of Specially Protected Natural Reservations, held an event under the motto “Let every little bird have its own birdfeeder”. The purpose of the event is to deepen the children's knowledge about birds. In a conversation with the younger generation the chief expert of the sanctuary Lyubov Murzak told the children about the birds listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan, their role in nature, where they hibernate and what they eat, and what food they need during the cold season.

During the environmental lesson, the children recited poems and solved riddles together. At the end of the event, the results of the traditional competition for the best birdfeeder have been summarized. The most active participants will be awarded soon.
