The Championship is organized by the Republic of Karelia Government, Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Russian Federation, Russian Union of Timber Industrialists and Exporters, Federal Forestry Agency.
By the result of regional competitions the team of the Republic of Tatarstan is comprised of forestry machine operators of State Budgetary Institution “Scientific-experimental Sabinskiy district forestry” and tee fellers of State Budgetary Institution “Nurlatskiy forestry”: Ivanov Valeriy Nikolaevich – a harvester operator of State Budgetary Institution “Scientific-experimental Sabinskiy district forestry”; Kondratyev Valeriy Mikhailovich – a forwarder operator of State Budgetary Institution “Scientific-experimental Sabinskiy district forestry”; Marinin Stanislav Viktorovich – a tree feller of State Budgetary
Institution “Nurlatskiy forestry”; Grishakov Nikolay Lavrentyevich – a tree feller of State Budgetary Institution “Nurlatskiy forestry”; Alekseev Oleg Nikolaevich – a tree feller of State Budgetary Institution “Nurlatskiy forestry”; Adeev Fidail Nailevich - a tree feller of State Budgetary Institution “Nurlatskiy forestry” (junior).
The Russian competitions are held in strict compliance with requirements of International Association Logging Championships. The participants will compete by the following disciplines: tree felling, chain replacement, crosscutting with combined run, crosscutting for accuracy, trimming and relay race.
At present 133 people from 26 regions of the country and Belarus stated willingness to participate in the competition. 67 tree fellers and 20 harvester and forwarder operators will gather together in the center of Petrozavodsk: bench exercises and competition of forwarder operators will be held in the Kirov square, and in the square of Spartak stadium the participants will be engaged in tree felling and show their skills of harvesters operation.
Such professional events are focused on upgrading of service jobs prestige, improvement of professional skills and working methods, as well as development of personnel qualification.
A review contest for the best forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan was held for the purposes of promotion of forests ecological value, forests Save and Grow, upgrading of measures aimed at preservation and strengthening of forests benefits, sustainability, regeneration of forests, increasing capacity, biological diversity conservation of ecosystems. Level of forestry management, improvement of forest area, availability of hardscaping and fire-fighting advocacy means, leading of explanatory and preventive works aimed at forest fires prevention and many other factors were considered in the contest.
As a result of works of the year 2017 the following winners were recognized by the contest committee:
State public institution “Sabinskiy forestry” – 1 place
State public institution “Prigorodnyi forestry” – 2 place
State public institution “Arskiy forestry” – 3 place
