Dear colleagues, dear foresters!

On behalf of the collective of Federal Forestry Agency and in my personal capacity I congratulate you with professional holiday – with a Day of forests workers!

Decision of such tasks as preservation and multiplication of forest wealth is as relevant as never within the Year of ecology. Forests for Russia have been and always will be national wealth, requiring careful attitude and harmonious exploitation.

At present forestry industry and related sectors are intended to solve a lot of questions of vital importance. Forest complex of the country is a key to environmental safety and basis of economic stabilization of Russia.

A labor of forest industry workers may not be revaluated. Foresters – dedicated highly qualified specialists, carrying out full-heartedly professional duties for mankind and nature. Thanks to your diligent day-to-day work, personal involvement, high professionalism and responsible attitude toward duties we can achieve positive improvement in the sphere of forest wealth preservation and multiplication.

At present we have challenging tasks on forestry efficiency improvement. Only by joint efforts we can ensure forests protection and reforestation.

Today the state policy faces an important task – to regain the prestige of forest works. The foresters in particular are defenders and guardians of forests.

With special gratitude I address the veterans of the industry, who kept true to their difficult and at the same time important profession, succeeded in keeping of traditions of several generations of forestry industry workers.
