The movement of school forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan unites more than 1500 people
In the Republic of Tatarstan, the direction of organizing school forestries on the basis of educational institutions is actively developing. So, in 2020, 15 new associations were created in the republic in the Sabinsky, Yelabuzhsky, Arsky, Almetyevsky, Vysokogorsky and Laishevsky municipal districts. Thus, at present in Tatarstan there are 110 school forest districts, in which there are more than 1.5 thousand people. The average age of the pupils is 14 years. Each school forestry has a teacher-teacher and a curator from a subordinate institution of the Ministry, who conduct theoretical and practical classes for schoolchildren.
The activities of school forestries are regulated by order of the Federal Forestry Agency dated 04/16/2012 No. 145 “On approval of the Development Program for the movement of school forestries”, “Action Plan for the development of school forestries for the period 2018-2027”, developed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, the Ministry Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation and Rosleskhoz, as well as the development plan and activities of school forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan for the 2020-2021 academic year. Last year, students took part in various environmental actions, republican and all-Russian competitions, carried out propaganda on respect for the forest, forestry work in their school grounds and research activities.
It should be noted that the intensity of the activity of pupils of school forestries does not decrease in winter. Now children are holding the actions “Live, spruce”, “Feed the birds in winter”, etc.
