Acting Minister Kharis Musin chaired during the seminar that was held at the premises of Lubyany Forest Engineering College. Almost 200 forestry experts of the Republic participated in the seminar. During the first theoretical part they discussed the silvicultural season and preparation for the forest fire season. Head of the Department for Forest Reclamation and Cultivation Ilgizar Zaripov and Head of the Forest Protection Sector Niyaz Tazmeev reported on these topics.

“The academic year at secondary educational establishments is coming to an end, and this is the best time to carry out career guidance talks with pupils of forest settlements and rural communities – acknowledged Head of the Sector for the Matters of State Service and Personnel Ayrat Akhmerov speaking at the seminar. – Moreover, on-the-job trainings will start at higher educational establishments. And a graduate’s decision as to whether he/she would like to serve the forestry will depend on the way he is welcomed and on efficacy of his forestry work arrangement”.

Director of the subsidiary of the State Budgetary Establishment All-Russian Research and Development Institute of Forestry and Forest Entity Mechanization “Eastern-European Forest Station” Aynur Puryaev participated in the seminar. He told about intensive methods of tree cutting in the forest fund of the Republic of Tatarstan with the use of multi-function logging machinery.

During the practical part of the seminar-meeting, participants together with Director of Lubyany Forest Engineering College Afanasy Danilov visited a forest nursery and a fire chemical station.

The festival was aimed at provision of innovation ideas of district educational establishments regarding ecological upbringing of children, and practical participation in their solution. The festival that was held at a nursery “Skazka” featured presentations of ecological ideas and their substantiation on the topic “What do I know about plastic bottles and their use”, a master class on “Wonderful transformations of unnecessary things” was given, and an exposition of children’s crafts from waste and recycled materials was held.

The results of the last forest management year were discussed during the meeting of workers of the State Public Establishment “Prigorodnoe forestry”, State Budgetary Establishment “Scientific Experimental Prigorodny Leskhoz” and State Budgetary Establishment “Forest Fire Center”, and suggestions on improvement of establishments’ activity and labor conditions were made. Then forestry workers were awarded, and the best production sites were acknowledged. Awards were given by Head of the Sector for the Matters of State Service and Personnel Ayrat Akhmerov.

Chess competitions were held during three days at the premises of the Republican chess school named after R.G. Nezhmetdinova. The team consisted of Elmira Naumova, leading specialist of Lease Relations Department; Timur Galiev, Leading Councilor of the Department for Forest Reclamation and Cultivation; Ilgizar Zaripov, Head of the Department for Forest Reclamation and Cultivation; Andrey Atamanov, Leading Consultant of the Department for State Control and Surveillance; Niyaz Tazmeev, Head of the Forest Protection Sector.

Today, acting Minister Kharis Gaynutdinovich Musin met with pupils of the Municipal Budgetary Educational Establishment “Kukeevskaya secondary school” of Rybnaya Sloboda Municipal District. Teenagers were told about diverse aspects of forest importance, its role in economics of the Republic and in life of every person.

The skill of civil communication with wildlife, intelligent use of forest wealth and advantages of being a forester - those were the main topics of meeting with pupils.

During the lesson, pupils found out a lot of interesting things regarding birds hibernating on our territory and arriving here in spring, as well as about rare bird species entered into the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Pupils together with parents and a class teacher I.Yu. Mikheeva made birdhouses and presented them to the nature reserve. Head of the State Public Complex Nature Reserve “Dolgaya Polyana” V.P. Nikitin told the pupils about importance of birds, their protection, and expressed his gratitude for birdhouses. He also gave posters on birds and books to the class, and awarded them with a diploma for active participation in nature protection activity.  All birdhouses will be hung on the territory of the nature reserve.

The bird of the year is annually chosen by the board of the Bird Protection Union of Russia, and the whole year is devoted to its studying and protection. A small bird redstart was announced the bird of the year in 2015. There are several species of a redstart in Tatarstan, and all of them trust people, they prefer nesting in parks, gardens and even in industrial zones and near churches.

Snow precipitately disappears under sun rays, slopes of ravines and river banks crop out. Extinguishing of a forest fire is very delicate work requiring special skills.  That’s why it is so important to carry out expert and responsible preparatory work, so drills are held at forestries to get ready for the fire season.

Inspection of readiness of fire equipment and fittings, as well as operative efficacy of interaction with a fire station, speed and efficacy of extinguishing of a test fire was carried out at the State Public Establishment “Buinsk forestry” and the State Budgetary Establishment “Buales”.

This holiday has been celebrated since 1927, and in Russia it is popular both with professional ornithologists and nature amateurs, pupils and teachers.

Various events are held at schools in the framework of this Day, namely creation and hanging of birdhouses, contests of children’s creative pieces of work, children’s matinees and classes that foster in children love to the nature of the motherland.

On the threshold of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the All-Russian Ecological Public movement “Green Russia” plans to hold a campaign “Victory Forest” all over the country and to plant a tree in memory of each out of 27 million fellow citizens who perished during the Great Patriotic War.

The campaign in Tatarstan will be held on the All-Russian Day of Forest Planting on April 25th. It is planned to carry out large-scale tree planting in the Birchwood of Kazan with participation of the Great Patriotic War veterans.
