В наше время стремительное развитие промышленности и рост городов сделали проблему охраны лесов еще более актуальной. Это относится и к нашей республике, где лесами покрыто более 1,2 млн. га.
Сегодня лесное хозяйство Республики Татарстан активно модернизируется: открыт крупнейший в Европе Лесной селекционно-семеноводческий центр, для охраны лесов от пожаров созданы пожарно-химические станции 3 типа, заложены новые лесные площади, лесозаготовительные работы ведутся по сортиментной технологии.
Все положительные изменения и успехи в сфере лесного хозяйства – заслуга золотых кадров отрасли. В нашей республике это более 7 тысяч человек: лесозаготовители, деревообработчики, экологи, лесники - специалисты высочайшей квалификации, бесконечно преданные своему делу.
