A park named after the honored forestry specialist of TASSR Aleksandr Arsentyev was opened in Mamadyshskiy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today, a solemn event to open the park named after the honored forester of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic Aleksandr Arsentyev was held in Mamadysh town of Mamadyshskiy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. It was attended by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, the Head of the municipal district Anatoly Ivanov, the Head-forester of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Mamadyshskiy Forest District” Akhat Khasanov and others.

Aleksandr Arsentyev devoted 48 years to the forestry sector, 38 of which he headed the Mamadysh timber industry. Under his leadership, the Mamadysh timber industry became one of the foremost in the republic, the material and technical base of the institution was significantly strengthened, the range of production of consumer goods was expanded, thousands of hectares of new forest plantations were laid.

Welcoming the audience, the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov noted that Aleksandr Arsentyev was an outstanding leader. “He was able to significantly increase the efficiency of the timber industry, he paid special attention to the protection, conservation and reproduction of forests, as well as improving the working conditions of workers”, the Minister said. - We are proud that such a person worked in the industry. Aleksandr Arsentyev made a significant contribution to the development of forestry, the preservation, growth, careful and rational use of the priceless “green” wealth of our native republic”.

Also, a memorable tree planting was organized as part of the event.

For reference. Aleksandr Dmitrievich Arsentyev (1922-1998) was born in Izgary village of Chistopolskiy district. Starting his career in 1943, he worked in such posts as a forester, ten's manager, inspector for forest crops, forester of Baganinskiy timber industry. In the period from 1953 to 1991 he headed the Mamadysh timber industry.

Aleksandr Arsentyev is a participant in the Great Patriotic War. In 1943 he was wounded, was demobilized.

He was awarded the II degree Order of the Patriotic War, the Order of the Badge of Honor, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, etc. In 1979, Aleksandr Arsentyev was awarded the honorary title of Honored Forester of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
