Autumn forest season is closed in Tatarstan

The autumn forest season is closed in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, experts from the forestry enterprises carried out work to supplement forest crops on the area of ​​5 thousand hectares, prepare soil for the next year crops on the area of ​​2 thousand hectares, and agrotechnical care of forest crops on the area of ​​17 thousand hectares.

Along with this, an inventory of planting material in forest nurseries was completed. So, in the current year, 33.2 million units of standard planting material were grown in nurseries, including 25.6 million conifers, 6.4 million deciduous, and 1.2 million shrubs.

Currently, seed harvesting of the main forest-forming species continues. According to the Ministry of Forestry of the RT, as of November 11 this year in total, 4.8 thousand kg of seeds were harvested, where 391 kg of pine, 82 kg of spruce, 103 kg of larch, 2.7 thousand kg of oak, and 1.5 thousand kg of other species.
