Today, the Federal Forestry Agency discussed the issues of harvesting seeds of the main forest-forming species within the framework of the federal project “Preservation of Forests” of the national project “Ecology”. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Head of Rosleskhoz Alexei Venglinsky. The meeting was attended by representatives of the forest management bodies of the Russian Federation, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, the head of the department of forest reproduction and afforestation Timur Galiev.
During the meeting, the issues of collecting seeds of forest plants in 2022 and interaction with the Russian Center for Forest Protection were considered.
It should be noted that to date, 10.3 thousand kg of seeds have been harvested in Tatarstan (89% of the plan), of which pine - 761 kg, spruce - 142 kg, larch - 40 kg, oak - 7.8 thousand kg, others breeds - 1.6 thousand kg. Some of the seeds are being examined at the branch of the Federal Budgetary Institution “Roslesozashchita” “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan”.
Recall that the collection of seeds of forest plants is an additional indicator of the regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the federal project “Preservation of forests” of the national project “Ecology”. In total, this year it is necessary to collect at least 11.4 thousand kg of seeds.
