In 2023, 68 pieces of machinery and equipment will be purchased from the Republic of Tatarstan to prevent and extinguish forest fires. Within the framework of the state program of the Russian Federation “Development of forestry” 27 forest patrol vehicles will be purchased, the federal project “Preservation of forests” of the national project “Ecology” - 1 trailed fire fighting module and 40 knapsack forest fire extinguishers.
Forest patrol cars will be used to monitor the fire situation, patrol forests, and prevent illegal logging of forest plantations, and other violations of forest legislation. A trailed fire-fighting module and knapsack fire extinguishers will be indispensable in case of detection of fires on lands bordering the forest fund.
In total, over the past 3 years, the fleet of vehicles of subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan has replenished with 198 units of equipment and 1957 units of equipment.
