Pupils of the 6th form of the school forestry of the gymnasium named after M.E. Sergeev of Nurlat town annually make and hang birdhouses and bird feeders. Recently, under the guidance of the Technology Teacher, the Head of the school forestry Gayazov Faniz Talibovich, the children mastered the novelty, in the technology lessons they made the wooden chess set, which is an enlarged copy of the usual chess set of 32 figures and transferred to the museum of the Nurlatskiy Forest District.

"We are making chess on the lathe, which was presented to us by the Head of the Nurlatskiy forest district, Rustem Galeev, children are delighted from such work, we cut the lower part on the machine, and the upper part of such complex figures as a horse, we bring to perfection with the help of a fret saw", - notes Faniz Gayazov.

Together with the staff of the Nurlatskiy Forest District, the children take an active part in the implementation of forestry operations: take care of forest cultures and crops in the nursery, and also receive additional knowledge on the basics of forestry disciplines, biology and other natural sciences. The Forestry Leader of the Nurlatskiy Forest District Galeev Rustem Minsalimovich provides all-round support and assistance in the functioning and activities of the school forestry.

Recently, serious attention has been paid to the development of sport in Russia, the students of Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College are not far behind modern trends and lead an active healthy lifestyle. In SBPEI "Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College" in Kukmorskiy district basketball competitions dedicated to the Day of Russia were held. 4 teams from each course of the training college participated there. The purpose of the sports-patriotic holiday is the popularization of game sports, as well as knowledge of the history of the state holiday. The game was lively and friendly, the atmosphere of healthy competition prevailed.

International Project "Ecological Culture. Peace and Conciliation" was established and implemented in 2012 by the Non-Governmental Environmental Fund named after V.I. Vernadsky, Interregional public organization "GREENLIGHT", Interregional ecological public organization "GREENLIFE".

The purpose of the International Project is to identify and popularize the implemented projects aimed at developing environmental thinking and outlook among different target groups, information work on environmental issues, ensuring environmental safety and developing ecological culture.

The results of the International Project "Ecological Culture. Peace and Conciliation", which was attended by representatives from Russia and CIS countries, were summed up by the Day of the Ecologist. In 2018, 506 research projects were submitted for the competition.

Director of the State Budgetary Institution "Forest Fire Center" of the Republic of Tatarstan, Airat Akhmerov, took part at the awards ceremony, which took place in Moscow in the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation. His project "Forest Watch" on preservation and promotion of careful attitude toward the forest resources of the Republic of Tatarstan", was highly appreciated by the jury members and became a prize-winner of this contest.

The employees of State Public Institutions “Prigorodnyi”, “Kzyl-Yulduzskiy”, “Zelenodolskiy” and “Laishevskiy Forest Districts” are carrying out large-scale cleaning of windfall and snagged trees in the suburbs of Kazan, which were destroyed by a hurricane that took place on May 30. Also, forestry officers clean dead wood. Every day more than 100 people take part in the works.

The Forestry Leader of State Public Institution “Kaleykinskiy Forest Districts”, Damir Mindrakhmanov, conducted a forest lesson for the pupils of the Lesno-Kaleikinsky secondary educational school. Children were told about the forests of the South-East of the Republic of Tatarstan and its inhabitants. In particular, about the favorable impact of forests on the outside world and the harmful effects of forest soil pollution. The purpose of such lessons is to instill in children a love for the world around them, to teach them to appreciate forest wealth. Young nature lovers, in turn, told poems about the careful attitude to the forests, which they composed themselves. "Man and nature are power! Strength must respect strength. To live in piece, not to win",- say the pupils.

Today, within the framework of the working trip, Oleg Tokarev, Head of the FBI "Rosleszashchita", visited the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the visit, he met with Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the meeting, issues on interaction in the work on forest pathological monitoring, protection of forests from pests and on preventive measures were discussed. Also, further plans for sanitary protection of Tatarstan forests were outlined.

As part of the exchange of experience on growing planting material with a closed root system, a working group of employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the Forest Selection and Seed Center in Voronezh. In addition, the foresters of Tatarstan got acquainted with the work of the microclonal laboratory on the basis of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Forest Genetics, Selection and Biotechnology.

The Scientific Research Institute of Forest Genetics and Selection was founded in 1971 to carry out research to develop new and improve existing methods for selecting high-yield and sustainable forms of woody plants, developing and breeding varieties based on forest genetics, selection, seed production and introduction.

Employees of State Public Institution "Aksubaevskiy Forest District" and State Budgetary Institution "Aksubaevskiy Forestry Enterprise" conducted joint fire trainings. According to legend, there was a fire in the building of the forestry, a flame flared in one of the offices, smoke from the entire building occurred, one of the employees was blocked in the room. For extinguishing, a voluntary fire brigade was involved. The fire could not be extinguished by own forces, the fire department was called. The forces of the fire department arrived in the shortest possible time, an employee of the forestry unit was found and evacuated. It took 20 minutes to eliminate completely the conditional fire. In the exercises, 1 unit of the main fire-fighting special equipment was used, 6 persons were working on site. "Joint exercises with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan mobilize employees for promptly taking measures to extinguish fires. The main goal was to develop cooperation between emergency services and the staff of the institution", said Andrei Ilmukhin, Deputy Head of the SPI “Aksubaevskiy Forest District”.

Ravil Kuzyurov held a meeting with the heads of subordinate institutions on the results of the spring silvicultural season, supervisory activities, the forest pathological condition of forests, and the quality of auction documentation. As well as, on the results of financial and economic activities of forest districts and forestry enterprises.

At the meeting the reports of heads of the subordinated institutions on the results of technical acceptance of forest cultures, harvesting and supply of timber were heard. In conclusion, the Minister set the priority tasks for the further development of forestry.

Within the fire-dangerous season state forest inspectors conduct patrolling of forests throughout the territory of Tatarstan. In particular, the employees of the State Public Institution "Aksubaevskiy Forest District" conduct joint raids with the fire department of the district. They inspect the forest areas, frequently visited by vacationers and mushroom pickers. A fire-dangerous season is especially stressful for foresters. Voluntary fire brigades are organized at each precinct forestry. A patrol consisting of Deputy Forestry Director Andrei Ilmukhin, Forest Protection and Conservation Engineer Anna Ubeikina and Deputy Chief of Fire and Rescue Brigade Zulfat Ziangyrov examines the situation, meets with the villagers and holds explanatory talks. Diana Zubareva, Forestry Engineer, also conducts patrolling. She is a young specialist in forestry, and number of young specialists only increases in our republic every year.

In a fire-hazardous season, one must strictly follow the fire safety rules in the forest: it is not allowed to fire up on forest lands and places of mass recreation of people, areas adjacent to forests, throw non-extinct cigarette butts.
