Vocational guidance is an important aspect of the education system. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, has repeatedly stressed: "It is necessary to make a special emphasis on the development of education, vocational guidance. The training of professional personnel is one of the key elements of growth for the near future".

Specialists of State Budgetary Professional Educational Institution "Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College" and the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan once again visited Kukmorskiy District for the purpose of career guidance activities with schoolchildren and their parents. About 400 people gathered at the meeting with the agitators’ team of foresters. Specialists of the forestry industry presented a film about the work of the Ministry of Forestry and told about all steps to the profession of a forester.

The next visit of the agitation team is scheduled to Sabinskiy district on February 7, 2018.

From February 5 to 9, 2018, the German delegation is expected to visit the republic, during which a working meeting of LesPlan and OMSK project participants will take place, and a presentation of the results will be held.

The project "Optimization of mixed stands of common oak and small leaved linden in the Republic of Tatarstan "OMSK" implies a comprehensive study of oak plantations in the territory of the Kaibitskiy forestry aimed at creating oak and linden plantations, as well as optimization of silvicultural parameters for their cultivation and formation of ecologically sustainable high-yielding stands. The second project - "Creation and use of forest plantations in the Republic of Tatarstan "LesPlan" means the creation of fast-growing tree plantations from aspen and birch for the purpose of growing commercial wood, as well as the production of wood chips used for the production of wood boards and bioenergetics.

It is worth recalling that the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan has been cooperating with foresters of the Dresden Technical University

since 2013. The upcoming visit of German colleagues will be the final stage in the implementation of the projects "LesPlan" and "OMSK" in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The authors of the draft bill were more than 70 deputies and senators. At a meeting on January 23, 2018 in the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations, the bill was supported by Ivan Valentik, the Deputy Minister - the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency.

The bill was developed on the basis of numerous appeals of citizens who could not take wood from the forest even for their own needs without complicated procedure for issuing permits.

According to the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Valentik, deputies from the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations have obtained the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Presidential Administration and expect that the draft law will be adopted in the first reading.

In accordance with Article 11 of the Forest Code of the Russian Federation, citizens have the right to freely and free of charge to harvest wild fruits, berries, nuts, mushrooms, other edible forest resources, and non-timber forest resources for their own needs. Non-timber forest resources include stumps, birch bark, bark of trees and shrubs, brushwood, fodder, fir, fir, pine, moss, forest litter, reeds and other similar forest resources.

At the same time, the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency emphasized the importance of projected changes in forest legislation, noting their high social importance. In his speech, Ivan Valentik expressed his unconditional readiness to assist in finalizing the draft law in preparation for adoption in the second reading. The first reading of the document is planned for early February.

The merit of the pioneering explorers who studied the condition of the Siberian Territory was in the fact that basing on results of their research a Decree on the creation of protected areas was signed.

Since 1913, expeditions to Siberia have been organized, aimed at identifying the number of Barguzin sables. Its habitats were the western slopes of the Barguzinsky Range.

For two years, a group of scientists conducted very complex studies of the sable population, and the collected materials served as the basis for signing a document on the creation of a "state operation site". In December 1916, the Government of Russia approved this document. So the only state reserve of the country was created, established before the revolution of the year of 1917.

And only five people were monitoring the preservation of the natural zone and the reproduction of the sable population, which at the time of creation of the reserve were only 20-30 specimens.

During the lesson, students of the school forestry also told about the reserves of the Republic of Tatarstan: the National Park "Nizhnyaya Kama", the Sviyazhsk State Reserve, the Volga-Kama Reserve.

At the end of the event, the results were summed up and the children agreed that we are all responsible for nature and everyone's task is to protect it. After all, nature is one for ages!

Under such title, the campaign was held in Agryzskiy secondary educational school No. 1 with pupils of the school forestry "Green Army". The event was held within the framework of the campaign "Week of Good Deeds" to attract the attention of children to protection and care of birds, their feeding in winter. During the lesson, the specialists from the Agryzskiy Forestry told the children about wintering birds, the significance of their diet and nutritional features. In turn, the children showed foresters a variety of feeders, made by own hands and drawings. On the same day, the forestry workers visited the kindergarten No. 1 of Agryz town, where, together with the kiddies, ready-made "bird houses" were hung on the branches of trees and food was put in them.

On February 27, 2018, an auction on the sale of the right to conclude a contract for the purchase and sale of forest plantations to small and medium-sized businesses in the Nurlatskiy Forestry District will be held. The Federal Forestry Agency has posted on its official website the register of unscrupulous tenants of forest areas and buyers of forest plantations.

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 98.1 of the Forest Code, there is a permanent Commission in Federal Forestry Agency to review the information received about unscrupulous tenants of forest plots and buyers of forest plantations. Chairman of the Commission - Elena Komar, a Deputy Head of the Federal Forestry Agency. The management of the register is entrusted to the Office of Forest Use and Reproduction.

The rules of a "register of unscrupulous users" are designed to increase the level of healthy competition in the conduct of auctions for the conclusion of contracts for the purchase and sale of forest plantations and lease contracts for forest areas. This is especially important when bidding for the conclusion of lease agreements. As the term on which the lease contracts are concluded is up to 49 years, in contrast to sales contracts that are concluded for up to one year.

With a significant increase in the number of auctions conducted by regional forest services in 2017, there have been more cases with participation of speculators. Speculators inflated prices for forest resources, won as a result of bidding, and then refused to conclude a contract.

Now the regional forestry authorities have received an instrument preventing the conclusion of new contracts for persons who do not fulfill contractual conditions or who at all evaded the conclusion of the contract. Only in the first half of 2018, it is planned to conduct tenders for the conclusion of more than 5 thousand contracts for the purchase and sale of forest plantations for small and medium-sized businesses. Experts are sure that the register will increase the efficiency and transparency of tenders, and will ensure the entry of forest products to the market without mark-ups "on speculators".

The dates of IV Russian Championship "Logger of the XXI Century" have been determined. Traditionally, it will be held in the Arkhangelsk region - from August 8 to 11, 2018. Let us recall that recently the event received the status of a "national event".

The championship annually takes place in one of the most picturesque places of the Russian North - Ustyanskiy district. The area is characterized by a hilly landscape, clean air, the necessary infrastructure for holding events of national scale.
