Within the framework of the Year of specially protected nature areas the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan published a colorful large-format poster dedicated to the rare large type birds, entered into the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan. The poster provides information about 9 mostly distinctive and large type birds of our part (white egret, black stork, mute swan, whooper swan, gray goose, lesser white-fronted goose, red-breasted goose, roody sheld duck, gray crane), as well as presents current information about their living habits, area of distribution and causes of rareness. Such poster may serve as a good assistance and visual aid in Biology, Ecology, Nature study lessons and out-of-school activities.
Staff members of the Biodiversity Department and administration of nature reserve units distribute the posters in preschool and school educational institutions of the city of Kazan and municipal districts of the republic.
A futsal match among the staff of Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan was conducted in “Trudovye Reservy” stadium of the city of Kazan. The event was held within the framework of preparation to Spartakiad among state and municipal officers. As the foresters say, such events strengthen team spirit and create positivity. Futsal players showed high sport discipline and presented attendance a good deal of entertaining moments.
Galiev Timur Radifovich –a Head of Forest regeneration and reforestation Department took part in “Radio of Tatarstan” broadcast live on July 26, 2017. In the interview the topic issues of the Republic of Tatarstan forestry development and condition were touched upon. Besides, the callers – residents of the republic were interested in such questions as: which trees disengage oxygen mostly, which products are made of fir-tree. A call from the Republic of Bashkortostan was about measures and means of Acer negundo control. Timur Galiev responded: “Acer negundo is one of the mostly aggressive forest pests. The main control measures are – mechanical and chemical. Chemical method with arboricides usage is the most efficient procedure. Control works with weed plants should be carried out in the whole territory of habitat and growing. Single point control will make no progress.
The main objective of the thematic session – is to draw attention of the society and younger generation to the issues of forest preservation, its careful use, crime prevention and actions against violations in the forest industry.
Lyovin Rodion – an active participant of Nurlat school forestry, a pupil of Municipal Autonomous Educational Institution “Secondary Educational School No3” narrates the following: “During the session the best forestry specialists carried out lectures, workshops and practical trainings with pupils of school forestry units, who came to summer camp “Orlyonok” from throughout the Russian Federation.Trainings with the specialists of Russian forest protection center were held during the initial few days. The experts told in details about diseases of various wood species, pests of forest range. Much attention was paid to geographical peculiarities of the Krasnodar Territory, with wonderful combination of mountain groups, covered with forests, the best Black sea resorts. The meeting with the specialists of Aerial Forest Fire Center stuck in the memory with demonstration of equipment and devices. The experts of Federal Forestry Agency conducted a contest for the best emblem of school forest units movement. I also took active part in literary contest “Lesnaya polyanka (Forest meadow)”, where all participants of the session competed in verses and prose. I got a Diploma and very pleased of it. This trip will remain in my mind for long, leaving indelible impression and flood of positive emotions”.
During the winter and spring periods the Ministry of Education and Federal Forestry Agency of the Russian Federation selected the best school forestry heads and pupils. In the Republic of Tatarstan the Nurlat school forestry – an Ecoleader of the Republic of Tatarstan, being awarded with EcoOscar and diploma in “Forest of Victory” nomination in Moscow last year, was singled out. LyovinRodion with his header Chibidina Tatyana Ivanovna who had already participated in All-Russian congress of school forestry units in the city of Tuapse were pointed for participation in the specialized session “Podrost (Undergrowth)” in All-Russian Child Center “Orlyonok”. Tatyana Ivanovna represented teachers of the Russian Federation. In her speech she made a point that our republic was rich in traditions of successful both in scientific and practical activity of school forestry units. It is possible to solve successfully problems of education in FSES conditions owing to All-Russian projects implementation.

Special interest was given to album “Forest of Victory”, where the pupils of school union gathered material on veterans of Patriotic War and placed photos of legendary relatives, in thenameof whosethe children planted named transplants during 2015-2017. Unforgettable 20 days among like-minded people by the Black Sea was a memorable experience both for Rodion and Tatyana Ivanovna. The regional stage of All-Russian professional skill competition “The best forest fireman -2017” will be held in State Public Institution “Leninogorsk forestry” on August 4, 2017. Forest fire departments from across the republic will take part in the competition. The event is focused on enhancement of worker occupations prestige, engagement of youth in training and arrangement in worker occupations, promotion of forestry achievements and advanced experience, as well as increasing of subordinate authorities’ preparedness for forest fire extinguishing. On the program: theoretical test in knowledge of acting legislation and rules of forest fire extinguishing, as well as physical conditioning and obstacle course. An expert group of specialists with long-term work experience in forest fire extinguishing will assess the tasks performance.
The event will be held on August 10, 2017. Thesubject of discussion will be “Production of closed rootstock planting material: technological and economic aspects”. Representatives of executive government bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, business and scientific institutions will participate in the roundtable discussions.
A delegation from Moscow headed by Zakirov Kamil Fikusovich, a President, Chairman of the Board of Managing Company “Segezha group”, LLC visited the Republic of Tatarstan for the purposes of forestry management studying and experience exchanging. The guests visited Forest selection seed center in Sabinskiy district, where they got acquainted with experience of cultivation of closed rootstock planting material, “Saba” III type fire-chemical station and workshops of manufacturing forest processing plant.
Today they had a meeting with Almas Nazirov – the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan in the RT Ministry of Forestry. In the course of interaction a national leadership introduced forestry activities of the republic to the colleagues, told about development prospects of the industry. They also discussed promising directions of interaction and opportunities of future cooperation.
The groups of children going on holiday in Children recreation camp “Chaika” visited the State complex nature reserve “Dolgaya Polyana”. The experts of the nature reserve arranged an excursion in the territory, showed a movie about nature of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In July 17, 2017 the inspectors of Baltasinskiy State Complex Nature Reserve held a quiz devoted to the Year of specially protected nature sites in the summer camp "Romantic”, telling about medical plants of the nature reserve. Both adults and children took active part in the event.
The winners were awarded with diplomas and booklets on the nature reserve activity.
