The exposition of photographs of reserved nature from a very far part of our republic is conducted by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of the Year of specially protected nature areas. “Preserved Tatarstan” exposition displaying photographs of rare animals and unique natural landscapes is still continuing. Citizens may do an exposition in National museum of the Republic of Tatarstan. The exposition has already aroused keen interest of the museum visitors and received favorable review of the visitors to the capital.
G.I.Abdrakhmanova – an employee of “Ashit” nature reserve gave a lesson in the groups of Arsk kindergarten No 10. The aim of the event was to develop knowledge and acquaint with new types of first flowerings, plant love for nature by means of creative work. A presentation about first flowerings was shown, significance of first flowerings in nature and need in protection were explained to the children. Then the children while playing started “Magic journey” to the forest, where spring had come, and snowdrops had burst in blossom. The children made group application “Snowdrops”, the middle group made application “May Lily” from modeling clay. The children of senior group made excellent pictures using various drawing techniques. The children fulfilled enthusiastically the creative work, recited poetry, guessed names of the first flowers, sang the songs and danced. It should be noted that Kindergarten No 10 of Arsk district pay much attention to environmental education. At the end of the lesson the nursery teachers were awarded with diplomas of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.
On May 12, 2017 the Russian Federation Government Decree No 911-r on making amendments to the list of timber types, determined in accordance with All-Russian Products Classifier by Types of Economic Activity (OKPD2), which are effected by requirements of the Russian Federation Forest Code on timber transportation and record of transactions with it, was signed.
In accordance with OKPD2 classifier 34 categories of sawmilling products will fall within statutes of forest legislation on timber recording and transactions with it starting from July 1, 2017.
Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan hereby recalls anyone engaged in timber harvesting, processing and transportation, to comply with requirements of forest legislation. Timber transportation without duly executed supporting documents, shall be punishable by a fine for officials in the amount of from 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles with seizure of timber and (or) transportation mean, serving as a tool of administrative offence committing. For legal entities the fine will be from 500 thousand to 700 thousand rubles.
Kazan Branch of Federal State Budgetary Institution “”Roslesinforg” held an event with participation of representatives of Forest Department of Volga Region Federal District, staff members of Ministry and experts of Aznakaevskiy, Alkeyevskiy, Bilyarskiy and Nizhnekamskiy forestry.
Forest tenure trainings – are required activities to be performed before the start of forest fieldwork.
The aim of such trainings is to acquire skills on determination of cruising indices in forest plots (stratums) and establishment of uniformity in forest inventory methods.
Plantations mostly spread in the object of forest tenure, presenting diversity on species composition, structure, age and commodity pattern, productivity and forest site types and origin were selected for collective training within the framework of state contract implementation.
Traditional environmental campaign “Day of forest planting” that had started on April 29, 2017 was completed last weekend. More than 40 thousand citizens of the republic took part in the campaign; more than 2 million planting materials were planted over 425 hectares. Staff members of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Cabinet of Ministers of RT, ministries, authorities, judicial authorities, lecturers and students of educational institutions maintained the campaign. It should be noted that year by year a growing number of volunteers is joining the Day of forest planting campaign, planting trees with the whole families.
Representatives of the Ministry took part in research and practice conference on subject “Forest ecosystems in conditions of climate change: regional and international aspects”. The conference was held in Volga Region State Technological University in the city of Yoshkar Ola.
European Union project “Public Diplomacy. EU and Russia” and Jean Monnet Center of Excellence under VSTU were the organizers. The objective of the event was acquaintance of young scientists with advanced results of scientific studies, as well as forest management monitoring practices and remote assessment of international projects and technologies in the field of forest ecosystems in conditions of climate change.
The forum unified more than 80 researchers and experts in the sphere of forestry, ecology, environment protection. The following European experts participated in the conference: Ioannis Gitas (Professor of Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece), Raysa Myakipa (Professor of University of Eastern Finland), Doctor Tuomo Kairanen (Arbonaut company, Finland), Elena Kulikova (European Forest Institute, Yoonsuu, Finland)
The experts of Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in the meeting in Yoshkar Ola, held by the Forestry Department of Volga Region Federal District in cooperation with Ministry of Forestry and Hunting of the Republic of Mari El and Volga Region State Technological University. Attendees of the meeting: Mariyev Aleksandr Nikolayevich – Chief Analyst of Administration of Federal State Budgetary Institution “Roslesinforg” (Rosleskhoz) and Head of permanent Project Committee on implementation of Federal Law No 415-FZ of December 28, 2013, representatives of government bodies in forestry affairs of Volga Region Federal District, forest plot tenants, forest loggers and forest processors. The Experts discussed the issues of harvest accountancy and turnover, which forest loggers were facing upon implementation of the Federal Law No 415.
“Clean township” ecological campaign was conducted within the framework of Spring Week of Kindness. The members of Arsk school forestry participated in the campaign. “Armed” with gloves and garbage bags, children bent steps toward Urnyaktownship. The children’s playground, afforestation along the road, and bus stop zone were mostly littered with rubbish. The children cleared out the territory; the township became significantly clear. The campaign earned praise of township population and created a feeling of satisfaction of the children and teachers from the fulfilled works. It was not the first year the young foresters conducted such cleaning activities, and they will continue such works in future.
Inspectors of “Baltasinskiy” nature reserve in cooperation with pupils of Baltasinskiy secondary general education school cleared out the water conservation zone near Nurmabash village from garbage and dead branches. 25 pupils took part in the event. After fruitful work completion the participants planted trees. Totally 700 pine transplants were planted along the shore line.
International Day for Biological Diversity has been commemorated annually on May 22nd, starting from the year of 2001. This International Day was declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 1995 based on the Conference of Parties recommendations of Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), held in 1994.
“Biological diversity” means variability among living organisms from all sources including, inter alia, terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes, which they comprise of; this includes diversity within species, between species and variety of ecosystems.
Convention on Biological Diversity – is an international treaty adopted in Rio de Janeiro on May 5, 1992. Objectives of the Convention are as follows: conversation of biological diversity, sustainable use of its components and fairly and equitably obtaining of benefits arising from the use of genetic resources by provision of required access to genetic resources, transfer of related technologies considering all rights to such resources and technologies, as well as by proper financing.
The Convention was opened for signature on June 5, 1992 and entered into force on December 29, 1993. In 1995 the Russian Federation ratified the Convention on Biological Diversity, thus undertaking series of obligations.
