A meeting on collection of illiquid wood in the territory of the forest fund of Prigorodnyi forest district as held at the Ministry
Today, a meeting on collection of illiquid wood in the forest fund of Prigorodnyi forest district was held at the Ministry. The discussion was attended by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan - Ravil Kuziurov, deputy ministers Ilgizar Zaripov, Rais Gumerov, the Head-Forester of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Prigorodnyi Forest District” Ilnur Kashafeyev and the Head of the Forest Protection Sector Alsu Mustafina.
Opening the meeting, the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuziurov, noted the need to clean the territory of the forest fund adjacent to the city of Kazan. “Currently, more than 1.2 million people live in the capital of the republic. Given the high recreational burden, we must systematically improve the sanitary condition of forest stands and clean up the clutter”, the Minister emphasized.
During the meeting, it was noted that in 2018 the employees of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Educational and Experimental Prigorodnyi Forest District” carried out sanitary and health measures on the area of 677.8 hectares. This year, such work will be performed on the area of 479.4 hectares, including the harvesting of illiquid wood - on 300 hectares. It is planned to start work in late August - early September of this year.
