In 2019, specialists of the Branch of Federal Budgetary Institution” Roslesozashchita” - the Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan - tested 17 thousand kg of forest plant seeds
The Branch of Federal Budgetary Institution “Roslesozashchita” - “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan” summed up the implementation of the state task “State Monitoring of Forest Reproduction” in 2019. Thus, the branch specialists examined 35 forest plots with a total area of 100 hectares in order to assess the characteristics of forest plantations and 44 lots of planting stock from 10 forest nurseries of the republic and the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In addition, employees of the institution carried out work to check the seeds of forest plants for sowing quality, infection with fungi and damage by pests.
177 batches with a total weight of 16 thousand kg were examined. The analysis showed that their quality is distributed as follows: seeds of the 1st grade and 2nd grade are 82.1%, 3rd grade - 17.9%.
68 lots of stored seeds of forest plants with a total weight of 899 kg were tested (seeds of the 1st and 2nd quality classes - 66%, 3rd class - 32.5%, substandard - 1.5%).
As a result of inspection of forest plant seeds, 239 certificates of seed quality and 6 certificates for putting in the reserve stock were issued.
