Pupils of the school forestry from Mari El visited the forest museum of the Ministry
Members of the school forestry "Young forester" of school No. 6 in Volzhsk town of the Republic of Mari El visited the forest museum of the Ministry. Within the framework of the excursion organized by the Honored Forester of Tatarstan, the Director of the museum Ilgiz Zaripov, the children obtained knowledge about the origin, current state and prospects for the development of forestry in the Republic of Tatarstan. They got acquainted with the main figures, well-deserved workers of forestry, educational institutions engaged in the training of forestry specialists. Attention was accentuated on the dynamics of the forest cover of the Republic of Tatarstan, on the reasons for the reduction of the forest areas, the species composition of forests. The technology of reforestation, cutting and logging, organization of forest protection from fires, and wood processing was presented. Great interest among the children was caused by the corner "Cordon of the forester" and wood products exhibited in it.
Particular attention was paid to the organization of the work of school forest districts in the Republic of Tatarstan and their achievements, handicrafts of participants of school forestry and their artistic creativity.
