6 facts of illegal logging of coniferous trees were revealed in Tatarstan in the framework of “Yel” Operation
“Yel” Operation continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. According to specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of December 26 of this year 6 facts of illegal logging of coniferous trees in Alkeyevskiy, Menzelinskiy and Sabinskiy municipal districts were revealed. The total damage to the forest fund is estimated at 14.4 thousand rubles. Cases of administrative offenses were initiated in relation to the violators.
State forest inspectors of the republican forestry together with employees of territorial departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan conduct patrols of forest areas with a predominance of coniferous plantations. Totally about 400 people are involved.
Let us recall that illegal logging, damage to forest stands entails imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of 3 to 4 thousand rubles, on officials - from 20 to 40 thousand rubles, on legal entities - from 200 to 300 thousand rubles. In addition, the person who commits illegal logging will have to compensate for the damage caused to forests, which depends on the species of felled tree and its place of growth, the category of forest protection.
