Ravil Kuzyurov met with Acting Director of Federal Budgetary Institution "Russian Forest Protection Center" Pavel Popov
Today Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, met with the Acting Director of the Federal Budgetary Institution "Russian Forest Protection Center" Pavel Popov. The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister Emir Bedertdinov, Acting Director of the branch of Federal Budgetary Institution "Roslesozashchita" - "Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan" Nadezhda Kuzyakina and others.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ravil Kuzyurov familiarized the participants with the state of forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. He said that in 2018 in the republic, work on forest pathology survey on the area of 49 thousand hectares and sanitary measures on the area of more than 7 thousand hectares was carried out. The Minister noted that due to the complex of forestry works and activities, forestry specialists managed to reduce the area of dead and damaged forest plantations by 15 thousand hectares.
In turn, Pavel Popov informed the participants in detail about promising areas of scientific research in the field of forest protection.
Further, the meeting participants discussed the possibilities of improving the sanitary state of forests, the issues of conducting a pathology survey and forest pathology monitoring.
