Employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the “Tatarskaya Slobodka” Museum of Archaeological Tree

Today, employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the “Tatarskaya Slobodka” Museum of Archeological Tree, located on the territory of the “Sviyazhsk Island-town” State Historical-Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve.

This museum was opened on September 5, 2018. Its total area is more than 2.5 thousand square meters. The main hall consists of two parts: in the center there is an archaeological excavation with the exposition around it. Actual location of the wooden urban buildings of the mid-XVI - XVIII centuries is reconstructed in the excavation area of ​​900 square meters. There is an exposition of three sections along the perimeter in the cases: medieval wooden architecture; restoration and conservation of archaeological artifacts; occupations and life of the population of suburb of Sviyazhsk in XVI - XVII centuries.

The central part of the exposition is a 21-meter animation panel “Sviyazhsk of the XVII century” with a reconstruction of the appearance and everyday life of the town based on historical sources. 450 characters are represented in the technique of clay and frame animation, they are involved in 120 everyday scenes.
