Dear Tatarstan people, I sincerely congratulate you on the International Day of Forests!
International Day of Forests or World Forest Day is celebrated on March 21. The purpose of this holiday is to draw public attention to the issues of forest conservation and to raise awareness of their most important environmental, economic and social functions. In 2019, the key topic of the International Day of Forests is “Forests and Education”.
The forest is our common heritage, the priceless green wealth of the country. In the Republic of Tatarstan, purposeful work is being done on conservation, protection and reproduction of forests, ensuring the rational use of forest resources. Over 2.6 thousand people stand guard over the forest. Thanks to their professionalism and persistent, selfless work, high-quality planting material is grown in the republic, seeds with improved hereditary properties are harvested, thousands of hectares of forest plantations are created.
It should be noted that the Tatarstan citizens make a great contribution, actively participating in the environmental campaigns “Forest Planting Day”, “Forest Week” and “Clean Forests of Tatarstan”. Taking this opportunity, I want to thank you for the invaluable help in preserving and increasing the forest fund of Tatarstan.
