Students of State Budgetary Professional Education Institution “Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College” joined the All-Russian Environmental Campaign #СохранимЛес. In total, more than a ton of waste paper was collected as part of the campaign.
“Our students always take active part in various environmental campaigns. At the end of March, the college team became one of the winning teams of the “Lesomania” quest and was the first among the secondary vocational institutions to join the Association of “green” universities in Russia, said College Director Rim Fakhraziev. - And this time we could not stand aside, tried to combine our efforts, the students invited their friends and neighbors to take part in the campaign. We decided to collect waste paper on a quarterly basis, and at the end of the year to donate the collected funds to preserve and increase the forest fund”.
“The need for paper is growing, and the timber reserves are not limitless, says college student Ivan Ryabtsov. - I think such campaigns should be carried out on an ongoing basis, trying to increase the scale and attract the attention of as many people as possible. Organized collection of waste paper and its processing will result in more rational use of our natural resources, saving electricity and water”.
The organizer of the All-Russian Environmental Campaign #СохранимЛес was the team of the youth direction of the All-Russian Popular Front “Molodezhka ONF”. More than 12.4 thousand people from 76 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the campaign. They collected 118 tons of waste paper.
