Today issues of spring silvicultural work were discussed in Cheremshanskiy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was held at the base of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Cheremshanskiy Forest District”, which was attended by employees of the forest district and State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Cheremshanskiy Forestry Enterprise”
The Director of the forestry enterprise, Nikolai Kvakov, said that in general the employees were ready for opening of the silvicultural season - the equipment was prepared, there is a sufficient amount of seeds and planting material. This year they plan to conduct reforestation on the area of 20 hectares, planting in a nursery on the area of 0.8 hectares and lay protective forest stands on 18 hectares.
Also issues of readiness for the fire-hazardous season of 2019 were discussed at the meeting. In particular, it was noted that as part of the preparation, conversations were held with tenants, 47 cautions were issued, concentration points for fire-fighting equipment were checked, 2 banners were set on fire fighting topics, etc. In the near future, work will begin on creating mineralized strips and caring for existing facilities.
