Republican environmental campaign “Forest Planting Day” will be held in Kazan at 3 sites
On April 27, 2019 an environmental campaign “Forest Planting Day” will be held in the Republic of Tatarstan. New forests will traditionally be laid in all municipal districts of the republic. For these purposes, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan prepared 2.5 million pieces of planting material (saplings of Scots pine, European spruce, Siberian larch, small-leaved linden, rowan, etc.).
Kazan citizens will be able to plant “their own tree” near Dachnoye village in the territory of Vysokogorskiy district forestry of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Prigorodnyi Forest District”, near Staroye Shigaleyevo village of Pestrechinskiy district and in the forest fund of 59 quarter in Stolbishchenskiy district forestry in Laishevskiy district (see the place where participants can be gathered in the attached photo report to this news). The campaign will start at 10:00 am. Gloves, shovels and seedlings will be handed over on the site.
Republican environmental campaigns “Forest Planting Day” have been held by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2011. Their goal is to reproduce and enhance the forest resources of the republic, foster respect for the forest, draw public attention to the problems of its preservation and improve the ecological situation as a whole. For 8 years, within the campaigns in Tatarstan, forest plantations were planted on the area of 5,284 hectares. At the same time, planting material was used in the amount of 18.6 million units, and the total number of participants exceeded 378 thousand people.
