Employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the citywide voluntary cleanup day, held within the framework of the sanitary-ecological bimonthly period. Specialists cleaned and landscaped the area around the administrative building of the Ministry.
Employees of subordinate institutions of the Ministry in municipal districts also put in order adjacent territories to administrative buildings.
“Voluntary cleanup day is a good tradition. It went back to Soviet times, commented Andrei Atamanov, Leading Consultant of the Department for Forests Reproduction and Afforestation of the Ministry. – Cleanup day improves the territory, improves the mood of not only the team, but also of all residents in general. After cleanup days the city becomes more beautiful and more comfortable".
Citywide voluntary cleanup days in Kazan were held today at 8 sites - in Gorkinsko-Ometievskiy Forest, Parks of Victory, Uritsklogo, Tinchurina, “Kaleidoscope”, “Chernoy Ozero”, “Komsomolets” and on the “Belye Tsvety” Boulevard. Participants of the general cleaning cleared the parks from debris, washed monuments, children's and sports grounds, painted fences and benches and took part in planting trees. It should be noted that for planting in Gorkinsko-Ometievskiy forest, the Ministry gave 50 spruce European saplings.
