Republican environmental campaign “Forest Planting Day” will be held in Kazan at 3 sites
On April 27, 2019 an environmental campaign “Forest Planting Day” will be held in the Republic of Tatarstan. New forests will traditionally be laid in all municipal districts of the republic. For these purposes, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan prepared 2.8 million pieces of planting material (saplings of Scots pine, European spruce, Siberian larch, small-leaved linden, rowan, etc.).
Near Kazan, the campaign will take place at three sites - near Dachnoye village of Vysokogorskiy district, near Staroye Shigaleyevo village of Pestrechinskiy district, and near Voronovka village of Laishevskiy district (see the gathering places for participants in the attached photo report to this news). The campaign will start at 10:00 am. Gloves, shovels and seedlings will be handed over on site.
Republican environmental campaigns “Forest Planting Day” have been held by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2011. Their goal is to reproduce and enhance the forest resources of the republic, foster respect for forest, draw public attention to the problems of its preservation and improve the ecological situation as a whole. For 8 years, in Tatarstan, forest plantations were planted on the area of 5.3 thousand hectares. In this case, planting material was used in the amount of 18.6 million units, and the total number of participants exceeded 378 thousand people.
