Spring forest season is completed in Tatarstan
The spring forest season has been completed in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, forestry workers planted forest crops on the area of 1,729 hectares, afforestation - on 166 hectares, combined reforestation - on 34 hectares, and laying of ravines, gully and shelter forests - on 2,045 hectares. Along with this, work was carried out on the addition of forest crops on the area of 2,718 hectares and sowing of seeds in forest nurseries - on 20 hectares.
In the summer, work is planned to promote natural regeneration of forests, agrotechnical care of forest crops, clearing of deadwood and selective felling in forest shelter plantations, in autumn - harvesting of the main forest-forming species, supplementing forest crops and preparing the soil for next year’s crops.
