New forest fire equipment will be purchased in Tatarstan in 2019 under the national project “Ecology”
42 units of equipment will be purchased in the republic in 2019, within the framework of the regional project “Forests Conservation in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the national project “Ecology”. These are 5 fire tank trucks, 4 universal forest fire complexes ULPK-4P, 4 portable motor-pumps, 3 small forest patrols UAZ-390945, 2 bulldozers VTG-100, 3 shift buses UAZ-2206 and 21 forest patrol vehicles VAZ-212140. Thanks to the arrival of new equipment, two fire-chemical stations of type II will be created on the basis of the Nizhnekamskiy and Nurlatskiy forestry enterprises.
The regional project “Forests Conservation” will be implemented in Tatarstan from 2019 to 2024. Its main goal is to ensure the balance of cutting and reproduction of forests in the ratio of 100% by 2024. To achieve this goal, two main indicators have been established: “the ratio of reforestation and afforestation to the area of felled and dead forest stands” and “damage from forest fires”.
