Work to supplement forest crops will be carried out on an area of 2.5 thousand hectares in autumn in the republic
In autumn, the Republic of Tatarstan will carry out work to supplement forest crops. Such events will be carried out on a total area of 2.5 thousand ha. It is also planned to prepare tracts of soil for next year’s crops on the area of 2 thousand hectares and to harvest more than 11.4 thousand kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species.
Currently, work to promote natural regeneration of forests, agrotechnical care of forest crops, removal of deadwood, and selective felling in shelterbelts is continuing in the republic.
For reference. This year, in the Republic of Tatarstan, forest crops were planted on the area of 1,729 hectares, afforestation - on 166 hectares, combined reforestation - on 34 hectares and laying of ravine-gully and field-protecting forest stands - on 2,045 hectares.
