The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency invite to take part in the forest conservation campaign “Save the Forest”. You can choose the nearest place to plant trees on the website www.sohranimles.rf and in the application of “Vkontakte” social network.
These online resources will help you find out where and when forest restoration activities will take place in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The website and the application also provide contacts of representatives of regional forestry authorities, on which you can get detailed information on how to get to the volunteer meeting point or get to the venue on your own. The main stage of the campaign will be held from September 14 to October 31, 2019. More than 70 regions of the country joined the campaign. In total, it is planned to plant about 30 million seedlings. The Green Belt of Russia will be replenished with young pines, spruce and larch. In some regions, new plantings of birch, apple, mountain ash, lilac and other tree species will also appear.
Let us recall that in the Republic of Tatarstan, tree planting will take place from October 5 to October 12 of this year as part of the environmental campaign “Forest Week - 2019”. Also, during this period, work will be done to clean up the territory of the forest fund and improve recreational areas, install additional nameplates and banners near federal and republican roads, collect forest seeds and environmental lessons in educational institutions. On October 5, it is planned to plant 1.5 million pieces of planting material in the republic on the area of more than 300 hectares. Near Kazan, the campaign will take place at three sites - near the settlements of Sosnovka and Kulseitovo of Vysokogorskiy municipal district and near the Staroye Shigaleyevo village of Pestrechinskiy municipal district.
