On October 10-12, 2019, one of the largest expert discussions on forest accounting issues will be held in Kazan. The conference “Forest inventory and forest management for forest management and business” will unite the state, business and forest managers on one site to determine the development of forestry. It is expected that conference participants will be more than 300 people from 40 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The plenary meeting, which will be held on October 11 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., will be attended by Mikhail Klinov, Acting Head of the Federal Forestry Agency, Nikolai Nikolaev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations, Aleksey Kanayev, Deputy of State Duma of the Russian Federation, Aleksey Pesoshin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuziurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Igor Murayev, Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Roslesinforg. Also, reports will be made by representatives of regional forestry authorities, Federal Forestry Agency, Ilim and Segezha woodworking enterprises, research centers.
Within the framework of the business program, discussion platforms on topical issues of forest use and forest management are planned: remote monitoring and compensatory restoration of forests, public-private partnerships, results and prospects of state forest inventory, regulatory aspects.
A separate topic for discussion will be the reputation of the industry and legislative initiative in the field of forest relations. The discussion will be moderated by Nikolai Nikolayev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations. Among the speakers are Mikhail Tayts, an Expert at the Forest Union, Iskander Bariyev, Vice-Rector of Innopolis University, and TerraTech representatives.
The event is held at the initiative of the Federal Forestry Agency (Rosleskhoz) with support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
