The Ministry held FSC certification workshop
A workshop on FSC certification was held at the Ministry. The event was attended by specialists from the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of forest districts and forestry enterprises of the republic responsible for voluntary forest management certification.
The Head of the Association “Kirov Forest Certification Center” Viktor Pankratov and the Association’s Consultant Nadezhda Efimova gave lectures to the audience. They spoke about the requirements of the Russian national standard and international conventions, including conventions of the International Labor Protection Organization, on rare and endangered species of wild animals, wild plants and mushrooms, listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan. The issues of biodiversity conservation in the process of logging, the use of FSC trademarks, etc. were also considered.
