The environmental campaign “Forest Week - 2019” continues in Tatarstan
The environmental campaign “Forest Week – 2019” continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. Today, within its framework, trees were planted in a park located near the Cheremshanskiy Boarding House for the Elderly and Disabled in the Cheremshan village of Cheremshanskiy municipal district.
The event was attended by employees of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Cheremshanskiy Forest District” and students of Cheremshanskiy Lyceum. In total, 2 thousand pieces of common pine seedlings were planted.
“The children took part in the campaign with pleasure, asked different questions”, said Mars Rakhimzyanov, a local forester at the Kazankinsky district forestry of the Cheremshanskiy forest district. “I believe that such campaigns unite students, help them realize the importance of greening the planet and protecting the environment”.
The Republican environmental campaign “Forest Week – 2019” will last until October 12 of this year. Within the framework of the campaign, in addition to planting trees, industry experts are working on cleaning up the forest fund territory, landscaping recreational areas in forests, installing nameplates and banners on fire and forest protection topics, collecting seeds of forest plants and environmental lessons in educational institutions.
