“Clean Forests of Tatarstan” environmental campaign took place near Kazan
Today, the republican environmental campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” was held in the territory of the Stolbishchenskiy precinct forestry of the Privolzhskiy forest district. The event was attended by over 400 people.
“We have been holding the “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” campaign since 2010. The campaign takes place in all municipal districts twice a year - in spring and autumn, - said Alsu Mustafina, the Head of the Forestry Conservation and Protection Sector. - This year, the autumn stage of the campaign started on September 16 and will last until November 16. According to its results, about 1 thousand 150 cubic meters of municipal solid waste and dead wood have already been removed and taken out of the forest, 7 springs have been improved, 40 nameplates, information boards and arbors in forests have been repaired”.
“Today, the central event of the “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” campaign takes place here. Employees of ministries, departments, institutions, enterprises and organizations of Kazan participate in the cleaning of forests”, added Alsu Mustafina. “Of course, we are sincerely grateful to them, and, in general, to all residents of the republic for their help and concern for conservation of forest resources”.
All in all, about 200 cubic meters of household waste and deadwood were collected by the campaign participants at this site.

Within the framework of the republican environmental campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan”, forestry specialists also carry out improvement of springs, repair of arbors, nameplates and information boards in the forest, conduct of classes and environmental competitions for students of educational institutions.
This year, over 9.7 thousand people joined the spring phase of the campaign (from April 22 to June 22). They managed to collect and export 3.3 thousand cubic meters of household waste and deadwood from the forest fund.
