The Ministry held a meeting of the Anti-Corruption Commission under the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today, the Ministry held a meeting of the Anti-Corruption Commission under the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The meeting was opened and announced by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov. Airat Akhmerov, Head of the State Control and Supervision Department of the Ministry, and Elvira Ziyatdinova, Leading Consultant in the Sector of Public Service and Personnel responsible for the prevention of corruption and other offenses, made reports at the event.

Airat Akhmerov spoke about the control and supervision measures, including scheduled and unscheduled inspections of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. He emphasized that in order to combat corruption, the availability of information on controlled objects subject to verification is ensured. Thus, inspection plans, reports on the implementation of federal state forest supervision (forest protection) and federal state fire supervision in forests are posted on the official website of the Ministry.

Elvira Ziyatdinova acquainted the meeting participants with results of the review prepared by the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan on anti-corruption policy based on the analysis of information on implementation of anti-corruption measures submitted by the government of the Republic of Tatarstan and local authorities for the 1st half of 2019, as well as the results of anti-corruption monitoring for the first half of this year and a review of corruption practices based on the results of monitoring of offenses and crimes identified in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2017-2019.

She also recalled the need to comply with the ban on civil servants giving and receiving gifts. Elvira Ziyatdinova noted that the provisions of anti-corruption legislation and the Civil Code of the Russian Federation prohibit giving gifts to people holding public and municipal posts, state and municipal employees, employees of individual organizations, as well as receiving gifts in connection with the performance of official (labor) duties (exercise of authority).

The exception is gifts which are received in connection with protocol events, business trips and other official events.
