Sergey Anoprienko visited the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today, as part of a working trip to Tatarstan, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation - the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Sergey Anoprienko visited the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan in Leskhoz settlement of Sabinskiy municipal district. During the inspection, he was accompanied by the Head of the Forestry Department of the Volga Federal District Aleksandr Ornatsky, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, the Head of the district Rais Minnikhanov and others.

Upon arrival, Sergey Anoprienko got acquainted with the exhibition of products manufactured by forestry enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan. Dishes, baskets and other wood products were displayed there.

Then, the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency examined the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan. He was told that the production capacity of the center was 12 million of planting material with a closed root system per year. The complex covers an area of ​​11.3 hectares, where there are 4 greenhouses, 13 growing fields, a cooling and storage building for seedlings, 2 warehouses and other facilities. The center is equipped with modern equipment of the Swedish company BCC AB.

6.7 million units of ordinary pine seedlings (including 202.5 thousand pcs with improved hereditary properties), 2 million pcs of European spruce seedlings, 1.5 million pcs of hanging birch, 1.3 million pcs of Siberian larch, 0.5 million pcs of acacia were grown in the FSSC of RT in 2019.

The Head of Rosleskhoz praised the work of the center. This complex has a significant role in successful implementation of the federal project “Forests Conservation” in the Republic of Tatarstan, he said.

Also Sergey Anoprienko examined the dendrological garden named after N.M. Minnikhanov and met with pupils of the school forest district “Nurgali onyklary” of Leskhoz secondary school.
