Winter sport competition “Forest Ski – 2020” will be held on February 26 in Lubyany
Winter sport competition “Forest Ski – 2020”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic formation will be held on February 26, 2020 in Lubyany village of Kukmorskiy municipal district. The organizers of the event are the primary trade union organization of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College.
The competition will be attended by teams of the Ministry and its subordinate institutions, the Kazan branch of Roslesinforg Federal State Budgetary Institution, the branch of VNIILM “East European Forest Experimental Station”, the Roslesozashita branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan”, and the Forest Transport Company AO, Faculty of Forestry and Ecology of KSAU, etc. It is expected that the event will bring together more than 200 people.
The best skiers will be determined in the following age categories: “children's race”, “boys, students and pupils aged 16 to 25 years”, “girls, students and pupils aged 16 to 25 years”, “men aged 18 to 35 years old” , “women aged 18 to 35 years” , “men aged 35 years and older” and “women aged 35 years and older”. So, men will need to overcome the distance of 2.5 km, and women - 1.5 km. It is expected that the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, the Head of the Kukmorskiy municipal district Sergey Dimitriev and the Head of Sabinskiy municipal district Rais Minnikhanov will take part in skiing.
Also competitions in military-applied sports, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be held on this day. Participants of the competitions will have to demonstrate their knowledge of military ranks and perform a number of tasks on orienting on the terrain, throwing grenades, transferring ammunition, carrying "wounded", etc.
The event will be accompanied by a concert and music program with participation of creative groups of Kukmorskiy municipal district. In addition, a unique exhibition of forest districts and forestry enterprises products of the Republic of Tatarstan will be organized as part of the holiday.
