An event dedicated to the International Day of Birds was held in Menzelinskiy Boarding School
An event dedicated to the International Day of Birds took place in Menzelinskiy Boarding School in Menzelinsk town. Aidar Khaliullin, Director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Menzelinskiy Forestry Enterprise” and Venera Fasteyeva, Reforestation Engineer of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Menzelinskiy Forest District” took part in it.
Aidar Khaliullin told the pupils of the institution about the forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, bird species and their role in nature. “Birds suffer from human activities. Therefore, it is necessary to protect birds, attract them to forest parks, gardens, fields and vegetable gardens, hang birdhouses and feed them in winter”, he said.
Then a quiz “Birds - Our Friends” was held to know the species of birds and their biological characteristics.
At the end of the event, teachers and pupils hang birdhouses on the school grounds.
