Work to care for young stands on the area of 1.2 thousand hectares was carried out in Tatarstan
Work is continuing to care for young stands in the Republic of Tatarstan. According to specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of July 6 this year such works were carried out on the area of 1.2 thousand hectares. Among the leaders by the volume of work are employees of the Kzyl-Yulduzskiy, Mamadyshskiy, Nurlatskiy, Bugulminskiy and Cheremshanskiy forestry enterprises.
In total this year improvement cutting in young stands will be performed on the area of more than 2.8 thousand hectares.
For reference. Caring for young growth includes forestry activities such as lightening and cleaning. Lightening - thinning in a young plantation, aimed at improving its breed and quality composition and growth conditions of the main breed. It is carried out up to 5-10 years of age, depending on the forest-forming species, productivity of plantations and the forest zone.
Clearing - thinning in a young forest stand, aimed at regulating the density of the forest stand and improving the growth conditions of the main tree species, as well as continuing the formation of composition, carried out after a period of clarification to the age of 20 years of the forest stand.
