Employees of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Kaleykinsky forestry” carry out work on the inventory of forest cultures.
“In our basic forest nursery, located in the Sheshminsky district forestry, there are crops of Scots pine, European spruce, Siberian larch, lanceolate ash and tree caragana. The results of the inventory showed that we have more than 560 thousand pieces of standard planting material to carry out reforestation work in 2021, ‒ said the head-forester Damir Mindrakhmanov. ‒ Despite the unfavorable weather conditions, by joint efforts we managed to preserve the annual plantings of pine in the amount of 658 thousand pieces and spruce ‒ 1 million pieces. We prepared the soil in the 1.4-hectare nursery for future crops.”
Also, forestry specialists carried out an inventory of annual forest crops on an area of 65.4 hectares, three-year-old ‒ on an area of 33 hectares and five-year old ‒ on an area of 30 hectares. All young stands that meet the criteria and requirements for the rules of reforestation have been transferred to a forested area,” added Damir Mindrakhmanov.
