In the Republic of Tatarstan, work continues to improve the sanitary condition of forest plantations. According to specialists from the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of September 15 of this year, sanitary and recreational activities were carried out on an area of 2.5 thousand hectares, incl. harvesting illiquid timber ‒ by 1.7 thousand hectares. High rates of work are demonstrated by the employees of the Educational-Experienced Sabinsky, Cheremshansky, Mamadyshsky, Aznakaevsky and Kaleikinsky forestry enterprises of the republic.
Recall that sanitary and recreational activities are part of the complex of forest protection measures. They are carried out in order to preserve the biological stability of plantations, prevent the wide development of pathological processes in the forest, and reduce damage from pests and diseases.
