The Forestry Department of the Volga Federal District discussed the issues of the All-Russian campaign “Save the Forest”
Today, the Forestry Department for the Volga Federal District hosted a videoconference meeting on the All-Russian campaign “Save the Forest” in 2020.
The event was attended by representatives of forestry management bodies of the Volga Federal District, including from the Republic of Tatarstan ‒ Alsu Mustafina, Leading Advisor of the Department of Forest Reproduction and Afforestation of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Within the framework of the meeting, issues of holding the action, the need to comply with sanitary and epidemiological rules, media support of events, etc. were discussed.
Let us remind you that the All-Russian campaign “Save the Forest” started on August 26 this year. The action is carried out with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Federal Forestry Agency, the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation, the All-Russian People's Front (“Youth of the ONF”). Its goal is to plant 40 million trees. Particular attention will be paid to the regions most affected by forest fires: the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug ‒ Yugra, Krasnoyarsk Krai and Irkutsk Oblast.
