The forestry enterprises of Tatarstan are preparing for the spring forest cultivation season of 2021
The subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan are preparing for the spring forest cultivation season of 2021. So, at present, the forestry enterprises are repairing and maintaining forestry equipment and other means of the machine and tractor fleet, which are involved in the implementation of measures for reforestation and afforestation. The necessary forestry equipment is also purchased.
It is expected that the forest cultivation season will open on April 19 this year. In 2021, in Tatarstan, within the framework of the regional project “Preservation of Forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the national project “Ecology”, it is planned to carry out reforestation work on an area of 3.8 thousand hectares. Thus, the planting of forest crops will be carried out on an area of 1.4 thousand hectares, measures for natural reforestation ‒ on 2.3 thousand hectares, combined reforestation ‒ 4 hectares and afforestation ‒ 104 hectares.
Work on agrotechnical care of forest crops will be carried out on an area of 14.3 thousand hectares, their addition in the spring and autumn periods ‒ on 4.2 thousand hectares.
To carry out these works, last year in the subordinate institutions of the Ministry, 23.3 tons of seeds of the main forest-forming species were procured and 37.4 million pieces of standard planting material were grown.
