In the branch of FBU “Roslesozashchita” ‒ “Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan”, work continues on assessing the quality of seeds of forest plants within the framework of the state task “State monitoring of forest reproduction”.
So, for the first quarter of 2021, the institution tested 17 batches of freshly prepared Scots pine, European spruce, silver birch and common linden seeds with a total weight of 264.05 kg. According to the results of the survey, it was found that all seeds belong to the 1st quality class.
Stored forest seeds were tested in 13 batches with a total weight of 230.7 kg. Their quality was distributed as follows: 1st class seeds accounted for 63%, 2nd class ‒ 6% and 3rd ‒ 31%.
